Jankai v. Michael P.
What an exciting debate! Both debaters were so well prepared. I keep thinking that we just saw the best debate and then the next one knocks us on the floor. Michael used speed to deliver his arguments because all 3 were well thought out. Jankai used lots of evidenced to support 2 arguments. The rebuttals in this case were extremely important. Jankai did a fabulous job proving inhumane treatment, add an additional piece of something inhumane and it would have been a grand slame argument. Jankai in the end was unable to defuse Michael's bible argument with appropriate evidence. Congratulations to both debaters.

This was a very close dabate. They both had good opening statements and good cross examinations, and both of them had stong rebuttals.

ReplyDeleteI thought that this was a good debtae. But, I thought that jankai could of used evidence from the bible to to support hoe slavery contradicts the bible. Michael could of spoke slower because it was hard to write as fast as he talks. But this was a close debate. Jazmine Babuch
ReplyDeleteFirst off congratulations to both debaters Jankai really stoiod her grounds against the towering Michael Pressley it was a real David & Goliath match Michael trying to throw his opponent off Jankai for having using knowledge of Africa this was truly a great debate Congratulations Michael
ReplyDeleteThis was a very close debate. I honsestly think Jankai should of won. However Micheal you did good, and congratulations.
ReplyDeleteI believe that if Jankai would have gone into detail a little more about how the bible contradicted itself, she would have won. It was a really close debate; definitely hard to judge. I loved how Jankai showed a lot of emotion and exploded on Mike today, especially when he accused her of contradicting herself by owning slaves... she was definitely good at defending herself. I also like how Jankai boxed Mike in regards to his person, saying that he helped write the Declaration of Independence, but he thinks slavery shouldn't be abolished. Overall, great debate! One of the best so far.
ReplyDeleteIt was too close for me to really give my judgement on. It was true that Jankai didn't attack Michael's point about Christianity, and I wouldn't know what would turn out if that had happened. It seems to be a stalemate to me. Congratulations to both of you great debaters.
ReplyDeleteWOW.. This debate was great both were explaining every single point and they were getting at each other within the ce.. It was a really good debate i think that all arguements that were disscussed were strong, but i think that Michael kinda got Janki on the bible thing because she could have came back on that argument...Janki was a very good debater how she was showing a lot of emotion and really putting everything she had into that debate.. Michael i like how he kinda had Janki stuck on some questions he had asked her, but also i think he kinda got a little to hype with her. But other then that the debate was very good.. CONGRATS MIKE

This was one of the debates I was looking forward to. Michael and jankai. I’m so proud of jankai for going up against a bully like Michael. Michael talked way to fast and should not of been speaking to poor sweet jankai like that. I think that jankai provided exceelent information of her person and I think she did a good job answering questions. Michael however was better, he is a good debater and came to win today, which is what he did. Kudos to both fr going up there and giving it their all. Congradulations Michael a.k.a the bully for winnig his debate.

ReplyDeleteI don't think Michael should have one because Jankai defended that Africa isn't a country but a continent, so therefore Africa have different cultures and classify themselves differently. I understand the fact that Jankai didn't want to attack Christianity for she is a muslim, but she should have provided evidence in her rebuttal when she said that the bible contradicts itself. JANKAI TO ME IS THE WINNER DESPITE WHAT THE VOTE WAS!!!!!
ReplyDeletethis was a funny debate n jenkai was snapping n michael was funny when he said "these africans are dead" n he acted it out but i feel that jenkai should have won because she was more serious and talked like she was actually a slave n giving good evidence

ReplyDeleteI wish we had more time to debate, I think that the debate would have gotten better. I had alot more to say, but I enjoyed debating jankai, She is a good debater

ReplyDeleteThis was a good debate both Mike and jankai were ready for each other and that it was planned out very good......the decorm was ok they were both loud and it looked like mike intimadated her just a little bit
